Dr Tiina Meder
I still remember the day I first met Kristina Vehviläinen. From the very first moment I felt her warmth, sincerity and deep professionalism – those rare qualities that immediately make you feel that this is a person you can trust.
At that time, Meder skincare was still a dream, a bold idea that only a few believed could be realised. I talked about using peptides and probiotics to smooth wrinkles, which most people viewed with hesitation. Kristina, however, looked at me with a smile and asked: “Could I try all these things you have here?”
That same day she took our first ten boxes and performed the very first Meder facial. The rest is history. Kristina became the first Meder expert – and not only in Estonia, but in the whole world – and for seventeen wonderful years now she has been growing, learning and helping countless people experience truly effective, skin-friendly care.
I admire Kristina not only for her skills and knowledge, but also for her big heart. She is honest, attentive and extremely caring. She never pressures her clients; instead, she listens and guides them with her wisdom and warmth. She is open-minded, hard-working and endlessly curious. I value our friendship and the many inspiring conversations we have had over all these years.
In my eyes, Kristina embodies everything a perfect skincare specialist should be: passionate, sincere and dedicated to helping others feel confident and well cared for in their own skin. I will be forever grateful for her support, her trust and her belief in Meder, from the very first day to this day.
Kristina Vehviläinen
One early morning in 2009, I stood by the window and watched spring awakening nature to new life. The changes had happened gradually, almost imperceptibly, yet with unmistakable certainty. That calm rhythm showed that true renewal does not need force.
It occurred to me that positive changes in the skin could happen in the same way – in harmony with the skin’s own natural processes. Skin does not need aggressive procedures; it needs support that helps it stay healthy.
That same morning I travelled to Riga, where the Intelligent Beauty Congress was taking place. Looking through the programme on site, I chose a lecture whose keywords were “non-invasive” and “microbiome”. Tiina Meder took the stage.
Her calm, confident presence spoke to me at once. She talked about the skin as a complex ecosystem and about the person as a whole, about respect for the microbiome and about safe, science-based skincare. She did not try to impress the audience, nor did she promise quick fixes or miracles.
During the lecture Tiina mentioned that her roots are in Estonia and that she began studying medicine at the age of 15. Then she asked whether anyone in the audience came from her homeland. I raised my hand.
During the break we went for coffee together. We did not talk about business, but about the skin as a living system. I said that I try to understand the skin at the cellular level – every cell needs oxygen, water, nutrients and a well-functioning metabolism. Invasive intervention, where “beauty is born through suffering”, does not improve the health of the skin but drains the resources of its cells. Tiina smiled. We realised that we think alike.
She trusted me from the very first moment. I tested Meder products with my own clients and saw how they support the skin’s natural renewal. Today I know that skin can be maintained and restored without attacking it. That meeting confirmed my conviction: true results are born of balance, simplicity and respect for the skin.
